Cub Scout Pack 136

Welcome to Pack 136

Cub Scout Pack 136 is part of the Scouting @ First Presbyterian family in Grove City, Ohio. We welcome boys and girls from kindergarten through fifth grade into a program full of outdoor adventure, hands-on activities, service, and friendship.

Our Pack is organized into dens by grade level. Dens typically meet once or twice a month, and the entire Pack comes together for monthly Pack meetings that include ceremonies, games, guest speakers, and recognition of achievements.

What Cub Scouts Do

• Explore the outdoors through hikes, campouts, and nature activities
• Build projects, try new skills, and earn rank badges and adventure pins
• Make friends and learn teamwork in a supportive environment
• Participate in service projects that help the church and community
• Have fun at Pack events, pinewood derby, Blue & Gold banquet, and more

How the Program Works

Cub Scouting is designed so that parents and caregivers are active partners. Leaders (often parents) guide dens using age-appropriate adventures from the Cub Scout handbook. Youth progress through ranks: Lion (K), Tiger (1st), Wolf (2nd), Bear (3rd), Webelos (4th), and Arrow of Light (5th).

The Arrow of Light is the highest Cub Scout rank and a bridge into Scouts BSA (Troop 136 or Troop 7136).

Safety & Youth Protection

All adult leaders complete Scouting America’s Youth Protection Training. Two-deep leadership is always required. We follow the Guide to Safe Scouting so every activity is age-appropriate and safe. Parents are encouraged to stay involved and ask questions.
